Accessibility review completed for Carbon Trust

Ben Logan - Published: 24th Nov 2009 13.52 GMT

We have reviewed the new website for Carbon Trust this month for Accessibility compliance against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.

The Carbon Trust's mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy, by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions now and develop commercial low carbon technologies for the future. They were setup in in 2001 and have been instrumental in helping companies calculate their carbon footprint.

We were asked to assess several key template pages for accessibility compliance on their new Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 platform and where possible suggest remedial work on the items we identified.

Our work included an onsite review, as well as a JAWS screen reader expert review.

We were also tasked with writing the company accessibility statement for the website.
